Hello friends! I’m back with another blog post but this time it’s going to be all about a really simple DIY – all about you! I’m sure many of you have heard of a vision board. A vision board is where you collect and arrange pictures of where you want your future vision to be. Today’s DIY is a bit of a play on the vision board. It’s a heart map!
In all honesty, I’m not sure if a heart map is a ‘thing’ or not. I got the idea all of a sudden one day (I can’t remember how lol) but I thought that I would collect a bunch of images that make me happy and create a heart map.
I had a bunch of old magazines laying around that I was looking to get rid of and thought that this was the perfect way to use them before recycling. I went through the magazines and cut out images that made me happy/ made my heart sing! It was a really fun process (I had a TV show on in the background and it was after bedtime for my little one. So it was a relaxing process for me).
After I got all of my images, I arranged them in such a way to create a heart shape in my bullet journal. Once I was happy with the layout, I used the Tombow mini glue tape to stick all of the images down.
Next, I used the Tombow Twin Toned marker in red to create a design around the images to make the heart shape really stick out. I also took a few other colors in the Twin Toned marker to add the words of the images that make me happy. I added a few raindrop details with my Tombow dual brush pen to finish things off.
What I love most about this project is that it’s super simple and easy to do but most of all it’s a feel good project. It allows you to do some self reflection and focus in on those things that make you happy. I love a good vision board project but sometimes our vision gets so lost and we often get upset or angry at ourselves for not achieving our vision. So why not celebrate those things that make us happy instead?
There are so many variations of this project that you could do. You could make a bigger heart map by using poster paper. You could even draw in images instead of collecting images from elsewhere. The possibilities are endless.
If you decide to give this project a go, please let me know. I would love to see your creations!

I finished the 4 seasons of Jane The Virgin! One of my favourite shows by far! I’m feeling the Jane The Virgin withdrawals…Any show recommendations?
